A GinZura-ZuraGin exchange is being organized on Twitter/Tumblr!

I'm not one of the mods but I am happy to spread the word!

Apart from GinZura/ZuraGin shippy content, the exchange also welcomes Yorozura content (i.e. Zura together with the Odd Jobs).

3. Match up announcement (Feb 16)
4. Creation period (Feb 17 - Apr 1st) So a month and a half.

We've heard this several times now since last autumn, but looking at where the story has preceded, as well as things like the announcement of the final manga volume being published later this summer, it really does seem more possible now that the chapter to be released on the Gintama app this ~~Monday~~Thursday will actually be the last one.

Has anyone else here kept up with the manga?

What are your impressions of and reactions to the latest chapters?

What are your hopes and fears for the ending?

Finally, how do you go about preparing mentally for reading the (maybe, possibly) final chapter?

EDIT because I just saw the latest announcement changing the date of the chapter from June 17th to 20th. (And doesn't that just say it all...)

What made you fall for Gintama?

Question to any Gintama fans who happen to read this: looking back, what do you think made you fall for the series and stick by it? Was there any specific arc or episode/chapter or moment where you realized that "damn, I'm really into this now", or did it happen gradually? Did you start with the manga or the anime? Did you read/watch them in order or did you skip around?

Also - were your initial impressions of the main characters and prominent secondary characters similar to how you feel about them now, or did you change your mind a lot as you got to know them better?

Hiya! I only really gave Gintama a chance this year and after some 40+ episodes I realized I'd fallen for it good and proper. Now with the recent Tumblr unpleasantness, I would love to find people on other platforms to talk to about the series. I just hope someone out there will see this and respond...

Now to a specific question. Does anyone have Gintama icons that aren't stored on Photobucket and which it's fine to use? Or know where such icons can be found? I will credit the icon-maker, naturally.

Hi everyone, I've just gotten into Gintama fairly recently thanks to *cough* Harada's doujinshi *cough*. I'm somewhere in the 500's where the manga chapters are concerned, I think, but I'm not watching the anime (yet, at least). Is... is anyone still alive around here? ;_;

I want to thank xparrot for writing a fic that has given me (and her other readers) more joy than I know how to express. If you call yourself a Gintama fan, then there is no better way to tide you over until April 4th than to read "Pandemonium", a 20-chapter Gintama fic that deserves nothing short of being lovingly translated into Japanese, mailed to Sorachi, and adapted by Sunrise into the screenplay for the next Gintama movie!! ♥ ♥

No but seriously, instead of listening to me babble on in an attempt to sing its praises, go read it here at her LJ, on AO3, or on FFN.
