Final chapter (?) out on June 20th (??)

gintamaWe've heard this several times now since last autumn, but looking at where the story has preceded, as well as things like the announcement of the final manga volume being published later this summer, it really does seem more possible now that the chapter to be released on the Gintama app this MondayThursday will actually be the last one.
Has anyone else here kept up with the manga?
What are your impressions of and reactions to the latest chapters?
What are your hopes and fears for the ending?
Finally, how do you go about preparing mentally for reading the (maybe, possibly) final chapter?
EDIT because I just saw the latest announcement changing the date of the chapter from June 17th to 20th. (And doesn't that just say it all...)
